NEGROS POWER PRIVACY STATEMENT
Negros Power respects your privacy and recognizes the need for appropriate measures to protect and manage your personal data when transacting or doing business with the company.
This Privacy Statement aims to assure you of our commitment to observe the appropriate level of personal data protection in compliance with the standards prescribed by Republic Act No. 10173, otherwise known as the “Data Privacy Act of 2012,” its Implementing Rules and Regulations, and the company’s internal data privacy and protection policies.

In the course of performing our services as electricity distribution utility, Negros Power may engage the services of third-party service providers. In doing so, certain personal information may be required to be disclosed for legitimate business purposes and as may be necessary to provide you with our services.
Access to your personal information is restricted to Negros Power employees and contractors on a need-to-know basis to carry out their responsibilities with regard to the conduct of our business. This includes meter reading, bill delivery, field inspection, energization, and restoration of your electric service.
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your Personal Data to third parties. We require our contractors, through a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), to secure and keep your information confidential and we do not allow them to disclose your information to others, or to use it for their own purposes. If shared, we will, at your request, provide you with details of the companies with whom we have shared your Personal Data.
Your personal information will be retained by Negros Power until it is no longer necessary for the fulfillment of the purpose/s for which it was obtained and for an additional period of ten (10) years thereafter. After which, the data will be anonymized and utilized solely for statistical purposes.
We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary for the fulfillment of the declared, specified, and legitimate purposes provided above, or when the processing relevant to the purpose has been completed or terminated, for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims, or for other business purposes, that are consistent with standards established or approved by regulatory agencies governing Negros Power.

You may request for a copy of your personal information in our possession, or have it corrected if you believe that it is inaccurate or incomplete. If you wish to request for a copy of your personal data, or have it corrected or deleted, please reach out to us through our contact information found below. We will make every reasonable effort to correct, update and respond to your request promptly, unless we require further information from you in order to fulfill your request, and in each case, subject to legal and other permissible considerations.
